What About Knifeheads?
All of the knifeheads we manufacture are made from round bar stock. A variety of sizes and styles are kept in stock for different types of applications. Shaper Heads and Panel-Raise Heads are made in 2 and 3 wing configurations. Other Straight Bore Heads are made in 4" dia., 122mm dia., and 6" dia. with a selection of bore sizes, number of knife pockets, and head widths. Coned Bore Heads are kept in 6" dia. that are ready to receive Self-centering Sleeves. We keep Hydraulically Mounted Heads in 6" dia., 137mm dia., and 4" dia. All of our stock heads are black oxided. the gibs are heat treated and then ground for a good fit against the face of the knife. We use the highest quality set screws available for our clamping, and keep a variety of different types of screws in stock for different requests in custom heads we manufacture.
